This guide will explain how to transfer your GoDaddy domain name to LCN. Moving your domain is simple and by transferring it to us you'll get great service, free features and competitive prices!

The transfer process varies depending on the type of domain you trying to move, however we’ve got you covered.

Lets get started…

Transferring UK domains (.co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .uk) from GoDaddy to LCN

Navigate to sso.godaddy.com

  1. Log in using your Account number and Password.
  2. Click the Manage Domains link from your account. This will open the domain control center.
  3. Select the domain you wish to unlock.
  4. Change the lock on the domain by clicking Manage.
  5. Click Unlock and then click OK.
  6. You will now need to contact GoDaddy via phone, email or Livechat and asked them to change your IPS tag to: LCN
  7. Go to the domain transfers page.
  8. Enter your domain in the Domain name field and click +.

  9. Please note: a maximum of 20 domains can be transferred in one transaction.

  10. Click CONTINUE
  11. If your domain is more than one month from its expiry date the transfer is free. If not, you have the option to renew for a year which you can pay for whilst setting up the transfer.
  12. If you’re an existing customer login to your LCN account, otherwise create a new account.
  13. Once the transfer has been initiated, our system will automatically check for GoDaddy’s request to move your domain to us. This normally completes within 24 hours but is down to how quickly GoDaddy release your domain.

Transferring all other domains (.com, .net, .info etc...) from GoDaddy to LCN

Navigate to sso.godaddy.com

  1. Log in using your Account number and Password.
  2. Click the Manage Domains link from your account. This will open the domain control center.
  3. Select the domain you wish to unlock.
  4. Change the lock on the domain by clicking Manage.
  5. Click Unlock and then click OK.
  6. You will then see the authorisation code, make a note of this as you’ll need it later.
  7. Go to the domain transfers page.
  8. Enter your domain in the Domain name field and click +.

  9. Please note: a maximum of 20 domains can be transferred in one transaction.

  10. Click CONTINUE
  11. The domain transfer will be added to your basket. The cost includes a one year extension to your domain’s expiry date.
  12. If you’re an existing customer login to your LCN account, otherwise create a new account.
  13. Once the transfer has been initiated, we’ll send an email to the registrant and admin email address asking for the Auth code (EPP code).
  14. We’ll also send an email to the registrant and admin email address asking for the transfer to be authorised. Once authorised, the transfer will take five days to complete.
  15. If the transfer isn’t authorised it’ll time out after seven days and the process will need to be re-started.
  16. Please note: The speed of the transfer relies on how quickly you authorise the emails that are sent to the registered owner and admin contacts on the domain.
