How to transfer a Domain Name away from us

This guide will help you to transfer your Domain Name away from us.

We regret to hear about your intention to transfer your domain name away from us. Before following this guide, you will need access to your Online Control Panel as the main account holder. If you need help in accessing your Control Panel, please follow this guide here.

Step One

From the Dashboard of the Online Control Panel, select the Domain Name that you want to transfer.

Once on the domain summary screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Domain Transfers.

Step Two

You’ll be selecting where it says Click here to transfer your domain away from LCN.

Step three will go through the different types of domain transfers and how to proceed with them.

Step Three

.com, .net, .org, .info, .us or .biz Domains (GTLD)

To transfer a .com domain away from us, you’ll need to pay £10+VAT Fee (£12 inc VAT) to start the transfer process.

Enter the Email Address on the account and click Proceed.

You will then be required to make a payment for the transfer, once this has been completed you will be emailed your Authorisation Code to give to the new provider.

.uk Domains

.uk domains require a Nominet Tag/IPS Tag to be transferred away from us, so we will need to be provided with the destination registrars tag to start the transfer process.

Once you have selected the Domain Transfers in step one, you will need to click on where it says Click here to change the Nominet TAG.

You will need a Nominet Tag from your current provider and enter it into the box titled New Nominet Tag and provide a reason for leaving. Once this has been entered, click Proceed.

You’ll need to pay £10+VAT Fee (£12 inc VAT) to start the transfer process.

We recommend for that before you initiate the transfer into your new provider you contact them.
