1. Describe the app and generate a working product
Everything started with a single prompt. The AI built the full application, including equipment selection, fitness goals, a workout duration slider, and an intelligent engine capable of generating personalised training plans with exercises, sets, reps, rest periods, technique advice and estimated calorie burn. It even delivered the complete visual style, featuring a dark theme, neon green accents and striking typography.
2. Add real-time data persistence
Refreshing the page shouldn't mean losing your workout. The AI connected the application to a database, storing workouts alongside their individual exercises, supporting anonymous users, and recording completion for every set. Progress is synchronised instantly, so every update is reflected in real time.
3. Create a workout history
One prompt introduced a fully featured workout history page. Every saved session displays your training goal, workout duration, estimated calories, completion progress and relative timestamps. Previous workouts can be reopened at any time or removed with a single click.
4. Upgrade emojis to professional icons
A visual overhaul with a single instruction. Every emoji was replaced with a bespoke SVG icon set, including dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, running and yoga icons, plus a lightning bolt. Each icon automatically adapts to the active colour theme for a polished, consistent appearance.
5. Refine the experience · Prompts 5–6
The final prompts focused on quality and usability. The AI resolved a nested button issue, improved keyboard accessibility throughout the interface, and added 18 automated tests covering the application. The finished build was delivered without any remaining errors.

Complete workout history
Every AI-generated workout is saved automatically, making it easy to revisit previous sessions. Key information, including your goal, workout length, calorie estimate and completion progress, is available at a glance, with the option to delete older workouts whenever you choose.
