How to add a domain to your hosting package

This guide will explain how to add a site to your LCN web hosting, WordPress hosting or email hosting.

Let’s get started…

Using a domain from your account

  1. Login to your LCN account and click hosting
  2. Below the hosting package you want to click Add Domain
  3. From the box which appears, click From your account
  4. Select the domain you want to use from the drop down and click ADD DOMAIN

Your hosting will now be setup and be ready to use!

An email will be sent to the account holder after the domain is added with information to get you started such as FTP details.


Using a domain at another provider

  1. Login to your LCN account and click hosting
  2. Below the hosting package you want to use, click Add Domain
  3. From the box which appears, click At another provider
  4. Within the Point your domain to LCN section, type the domain you wish to use with your hosting package and click ADD DOMAIN

Now that your domain has been added to your hosting package, you’ll then need to contact your domain registrar and ask them to update your domain’s nameservers to the below:

  • ns0.lcn.com
  • ns1.lcn.com
  • ns2.lcn.com

Nameserver updates can take up to 24 hours to complete, however this depends on the domain registry.

Alternatively, you can Transfer your domain to LCN.
