How to set up separate FTP accounts

Applies to: Starter Hosting, Dynamic Hosting, Premium Hosting, Unlimited Hosting

If you want to give a colleague or web designer access to your web hosting space but don't want to give them your LCN account username and password, you can create a separate FTP account for them.

1. Log in to your account
2. Click the Hosting icon, then click Manage for the hosting you want to add an FTP account to
3. Click FTP Accounts from the Current Hosting menu on the left
4. Click the Add FTP Account button
5. In the FTP Username field enter a prefix for your new FTP user Note: All FTP usernames will end in your domain name with the dots replaced e.g. username_domain_com
6. In the FTP Password enter a password and confirm it
7. Click the Add FTP Account button

You can give these details to your colleague or web designer and they will be able to access that hosting space via FTP.
