A bit about us

Founded in February 2000, we've grown beyond our wildest beliefs and are lucky enough to be considered one of the worlds largest web hosting and domain name companies. We're now hosting more than 180,000 happy customers and are one only a few UK accredited members of both Nominet and ICANN (the global domain governing bodies).

Our customers mean a lot to us and we like to make sure you are given all the support you need. Our customer support team are availble 7 days a week and we've built a huge online support centre to help you learn about your products and improve your skills.

  • Mark Boost

    CEO

    I first started LCN back in February 2000 under the parent company Advantage Interactive Ltd. I started LCN to offer web hosting and domain registration services to anyone who wished to develop a website of their own. Within a year the company grew to become one of the leading domain registration and web hosting companies in the UK. In 2006, I launched ServerChoice.com which provides clients with bespoke hosting solutions and colocation services.

  • Nick De Monte

    Technical Director

    I'm proud to say I've been with LCN since the start (or Advantage Interactive Design Ltd. as it was known before LCN was born). I come from a design background but now I work with the R&D and Engineering teams on new products & features. When we first started, we would all chip in, from making the tea to answering customer support calls, whatever was needed to get the job done. Although I don't answer customer support calls anymore, which I'm sure the support team are glad about, I still take an interest in every area of the business and I still make the tea, sometimes.

I previously worked within the European headquarters of Google and have always enjoyed the diversity and ever changing challenges of online marketing. As marketing director I shape and evolve the LCN.com marketing strategy to help introduce new customers to a brand I am extremely proud of.

    I have worked for LCN for the past 8 years and I have worked my way up from being a customer support advisor to being the NOC team leader. Being the NOC team leader I help look after our existing system as well as creating new solutions in our growing network. I also manage the team to ensure we meet goals set by the business and provide the best solutions and support that we can.

    This is baxter, our company mascot. Baxter is Mark's dog who he brings into the office every day. Baxter is a very lovable character. He brings loads of excitement to the office, everyone loves playing with him and taking him out for walks.

We are dedicated to helping UK charities and host hundreds of charity and non-profit websites completely free of charge.

If you're a charity or non-profit organisation, we can offer you free web hosting and a free 2 year domain name. The hosting will remain free for as long as you are a registered charity/organisation. All you need to do is telephone us first so that you can tell us a little about your charity/organisation and what sort of scale of hosting you need and to also check that you are a valid charity.
