How to set up email forwarding

Email forwarding allows you to redirect emails from one email address to another.  

For example, an email sent to info@domain.com can be automatically forwarded to info@gmail.com. 

All LCN domain names come with free email forwards and you can set up email forwarding as part of your email hosting services.  

This guide will explain everything you need to know to get these set up in no time! 

Let’s get started… 

Setting up Email Forwarding for a domain with no hosting 

  1. Log in to your LCN account
  1. Click the cog icon on the domain without hosting. 
  1. Choose Forwarding 
  1. Select Email Forwarding 
  1. Click the +Add Another under the heading for Email aliases 
  1. In the Alias field enter the alias you would like to have forwarded, this is the part before the @ symbol. 
  1. In the Forward Address enter the address you would like this email to forward to. 
  1. Click Save 

That’s it! You have now created a forward for your domain. 

If you would like to have a catch all address which will forward all emails sent to your domain you can enter the address to forward to in the Catch all address field. 

Setting up Email Forwarding for a domain with hosting 

  1. Log in to your LCN account
  1. Next, click the domain with hosting you would like to add a forward to. 
  1. Then click Email Settings
  1. Click Users and Email Rules 
  1. Now click Add email address 
  1. Enter the alias for your email in the first box, this will be the part before the @ symbol. 
  1. Skip to the box for Forwarding address and enter the email you would like your email to forward to. 
  1. Click Create

That’s it! You have now created an email forward for your domain.
