\u00a0This guide will show you how to set up your email address on Mac Mail, for customers using LCN\u202fweb hosting<\/a>,\u202fWordPress hosting<\/a>,\u202fEmail hosting<\/a>\u202for\u00a0LiteMail\u00a0with an\u00a0Authenticated SMTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you get started,\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0need to have your email address and password handy. If you can\u2019t remember these details, you can check and reset them from\u00a0your\u00a0LCN account<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also need to ensure you have Authenticated SMTP enabled. You can find out how to do this\u00a0here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open\u202fMac Mail<\/strong>\u202fand go to\u202fMail<\/strong>\u202fin the top left, then\u202fPreferences<\/strong>\u202fIn the box that appears click\u202fAccounts<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click the\u202f+<\/strong>\u202ficon in the bottom left of the accounts list to add a new account. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Please Note<\/strong>: If this is your first-time using Mac Mail you may automatically be at\u202fChoose a Mail account provider\u2026<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. From Choose a\u202fMail account provider\u2026<\/strong>\u202fselect\u202fOther Mail Account<\/strong>\u202fand click\u202fContinue<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. Enter a\u202fName<\/strong>\u202ffor your account as well as the\u202fEmail Address<\/strong>\u202fand\u202fPassword<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          1. You will now be presented with a box to confirm the rest of your account details. Fill these in as follows:\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            • Email Address:<\/strong>\u202fEnter your email address if not already showing.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Username:<\/strong>\u202fYour username will be your email address.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Password:<\/strong>\u202fYour mailbox password.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Account Type:<\/strong>\u202fEither\u202fPOP<\/strong>\u202for\u202fIMAP<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li>
            • Incoming Mail Server:<\/strong>\u202fmail.lcn.com\u00a0<\/li>
            • Outgoing Mail Server:<\/strong>\u202fmail.lcn.com\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
              1. Once all of the above has been filled in click\u202fSign In<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                1. You will now be asked what you would like to use this account for,\u202fMail<\/strong>\u202fand\u202fNotes<\/strong>, make sure\u202fMail<\/strong>\u202fis selected and click\u202fDone<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
