This guide will explain how to create\u00a0a mailbox and\u00a0an email address for domains hosted on LCN\u202fweb hosting<\/a>,\u202fWordPress hosting<\/a>,\u202fEmail hosting<\/a>\u202fpackages or\u00a0using\u00a0LiteMail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t have a hosting plan in place for your\u00a0domain\u00a0you will first need to add one to your domain or activate\u00a0LiteMail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to create a Mailbox\u00a0and\u00a0first\u00a0email address\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before you can create an email address you will first need to create a Mailbox. You will then create an email addresses which will use the mailbox for sending and receiving email.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create a mailbox and your first email you will need to\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a>\u00a0and navigate to your control panel.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click on the domain you wish to create a mailbox for. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Please Note:<\/strong> If you do not have an Email Hosting you will be advised to add one before you can create your mailbox. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      1. Click\u202fEmail Settings<\/strong>\u202flocated under Email followed by Users and Email Rules<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. Click Add User\/mailbox<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          1. Enter the Username<\/strong> for your mailbox. This will be your admin user. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            1. Enter your full name. This is optional however it can be useful to remind you who accesses this mailbox. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              1. Create your Password<\/strong> <\/strong>then Confirm password<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fTo make sure your chosen password is secure you will need to make sure that it is at least 8 characters long, it must also include at least 3 of the following: Lower case letter, upper case letter, number, special character.                 1. Enter your first Email alias<\/strong>. <\/strong>This will create an email address for your mailbox, you just need to add the part that will be before the @ symbol.  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  That\u2019s it! You have now created your mailbox and first email addresses! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Each mailbox can have multiple email aliases, this will allow you to have emails to multiple addresses come to the same mailbox. However, it is best to have a separate mailbox for different users to help ensure emails sent and received do not get mixed up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  To create additional emails for a mailbox you will need to\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a>\u00a0and navigate to your control panel.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                    1. Next click on the domain you wish to create an email\u00a0for.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                      1. Now click\u202fEmail Settings<\/strong>\u202flocated under Email followed by\u00a0Users and Email Rules<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                        1. Click Add email address<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                          1. Enter the address, the part before the @ symbol, in the first box labelled Email address<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
