Google Analytics<\/a>\u202fis a powerful, web analytics application that records important statistics about your website such as traffic levels,\u202fbounce rates<\/a>, average time-on-site, page views and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your LCN\u202fWeb hosting<\/a>\u202fpackage includes a tool that allows you to easily integrate Google Analytics on your site, without having to manually insert the tracking code on every page where it\u2019s needed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to create a Google Analytics account and access the tracking ID. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To get started\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0need to create a Google Analytics account for your domain and retrieve a tracking ID from the Google system. You can begin the process by logging in to Google Analytics here:\u202fwww.google.com\/analytics<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note<\/strong>: You will need a Google account and will be prompted to register if you do not have one already. After logging in, just select \u201csign-up\u201d to start using Google Analytics. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll now be prompted to set up your account and your property. Your property is the website you wish to record Analytics data for. Fill in the required fields of data such as your website name, website URL, industry category and reporting time zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessing the tracking ID <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Visit Admin by clicking on the\u202fcog<\/strong>\u202fin the bottom left. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Under\u202fProperty<\/strong>\u202fselect the property you would like your tracking code for. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. Under\u202fTracking Info<\/strong>\u202fclick\u202fTracking Code<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. On this page you\u2019ll see your\u202fTracking ID<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Please note<\/strong>: Your tracking ID will start \u201cUA\u201d followed by a series of numbers; it\u2019ll look something like this \u201cUA-12345678-1\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

          1. Make a note of this tracking ID because we\u2019ll need this later. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            How to add your analytics tracking ID to your LCN account<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Once you have the tracking ID for your site you can easily configure Analytics by following the instructions below:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a> and move to your Control panel<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              1. Click\u202fon the domain you want to add your code to. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                1. Click on your hosting package. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                  1. Move to\u202fGoogle Analytics<\/strong>\u202fon the left. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                    1. Change your analytics Enabled <\/strong>option to Yes.<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                      1. Enter your Tracking ID<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                        1. If you would like to exclude any specific pages or paths you can enter them in the Paths to exclude<\/strong> <\/strong>box. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                          1. When you are happy with your entries, click Save<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                            How to access Google Analytics data for your site <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                            After following the steps outlined above to create your Google Analytics account and link it with your web hosting, you can go directly to your Analytics account to view the data for your site.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                            There will be a delay of up to 24 hours before the Analytics Data for your site will be available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
