This guide will explain how to install SSL certificates or enable a Let\u2019s Encrypt certificate for domains in Plesk using either the Power-user or Service-provider interfaces.<\/p>\n

Power User interface<\/h3>\n

Follow these steps to install an SSL certificate for domains in Plesk using the Power-user interface:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the websites and domains<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll down this page to locate the domain name you need to update and select SSL\/TLS Certificates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the button Add SSL\/TLS Certificate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Enter a name for the certificate<\/li>\n
  5. Scroll down the page to either upload your certificate files<\/strong> or add the certificate as text<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. To add the certificate as text:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Open the private key file for your certificate (.key) in a text editor and copy\/paste the contents of the file into the Private key (*.key) *<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
    • Open the certificate file (domain-name.com.crt) in a text editor and copy\/paste the contents of the file into the Certificate (*.crt) *<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
    • Open the CA certificate file (ca.crt) in a text editor and copy\/paste the contents of the file into the CA certificate (*-ca.crt)<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Click Upload Certificate<\/strong> to install the certificate to your server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      To enable the certificate for your website, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Open the websites and domains<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.v<\/li>\n
      2. Click Hosting Settings<\/strong> for the site the SSL certificate should be enabled for.<\/li>\n
      3. Under Security<\/strong> click the drop-down menu for certificate<\/strong> and select the correct certificate name for your site.<\/li>\n
      4. Click OK<\/strong> to enable the SSL certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Follow these steps to enable a Let\u2019s Encrypt SSL certificate for domains in Plesk using the Power-user interface:<\/p>\n

        1. Open the websites and domains<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.<\/li>\n
        2. Click the Let\u2019s Encrypt<\/strong> link below the domain that you want to enable a Let\u2019s Encrypt certificate for.<\/li>\n
        3. Enter an email address<\/strong> for any notifications\/warnings about the certificate to be sent to.<\/li>\n
        4. Select the tick-boxes if you want the www<\/strong> and webmail<\/strong> prefixes of the domain to be covered by the certificate.<\/li>\n
        5. Click Install<\/strong> to add the Let\u2019s Encrypt certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Please note:<\/strong> The domain will need to resolve to your server IP address for the Let\u2019s Encrypt certificate setup to complete.<\/p>\n

          Service Provider interface<\/h3>\n

          Follow these steps to install an SSL certificate for domains in Plesk using the Service-provider interface:<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Open the domains<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.<\/li>\n
          2. Click the domain name that you want to access from the list on the following page.<\/li>\n
          3. Click the link for SSL\/TLS<\/strong> from the domain name control panel page.<\/li>\n
          4. Click the button Add SSL\/TLS Certificate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. Enter a name for the certificate<\/li>\n
          6. Scroll down the page to either upload your certificate files<\/strong> or add the certificate as text<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          7. To add the certificate as text:\n
              \n
            • Open the private key file for your certificate (.key) in a text editor and copy\/paste the contents of the file into the Private key (*.key) *<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
