The WHOIS database is a public register of domain names, their owners, and other key details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To help protect your personal details from marketing companies LCN can provide free\u202fDomain Proxy<\/a>\u202fon all gTLD (except .eu) for their initial registration term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your details will remain on file as the legal domain owner and any enquiries for your domain will be forwarded on to you. You can read more on why domain proxy is important\u202fhere<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting up the Domain Proxy Service on an existing LCN\u202fdomain name<\/a> that you have not already activated the service on\u202fis simple and will hide your details from the WHOIS database, just follow the guide below.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a> and head to your Control Panel<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click on\u202fthe domain you wish to add Domain Proxy to. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. Click\u202fAdd Domain Proxy<\/strong>\u202funder the Domain Registrant Details<\/strong> <\/strong>section. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. Confirm you would like to Add Domain Proxy<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          1. Complete the checkout process.  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            That\u2019s it! You\u2019ve successfully setup the domain proxy service.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
