This guide will show LCN.com customers how to change their Nameservers on their domains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nameservers form the backbone of the Domain Name System (DNS) as they create the link between a domain name and its email and website services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you may need to update these, especially if you\u2019re moving to a new hosting provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fIf you are using any of our\u202fWeb hosting<\/a>,\u202fWordPress hosting<\/a>,\u202fEmail hosting<\/a>\u202for forwarding services, we wouldn\u2019t recommend changing your nameservers as these services will no longer work unless you pre-propagate your new nameservers. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Before you start, you\u2019ll need to know the names of your new nameservers, you\u2019ll typically get these from your web hosting provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to your\u202fLCN account<\/a>. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. From your listed services click on the domain you would like to update. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Click\u202fChange<\/strong> Nameservers<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. In the\u202fboxes provided enter your new nameservers. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fNameserver addresses typically start with ns0. or ns1. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
