This guide will explain how to create email addresses for domains in Plesk using either the Power-user or Service-provider interfaces and the settings require to add email accounts to an email client\/device.<\/p>\n

Power User interface<\/h3>\n

Follow these steps to create a new email address in Plesk with the Power-user interface:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open the Mail<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.<\/li>\n
  2. Click the Create email address<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter the local part of the address (before the @ symbol) alongside the Email Address<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
  4. Select the domain name for the address from the drop-down to the right of the @ symbol.<\/li>\n
  5. Select if you want to allow access to the customer Plesk panel using this email address using the tick-box for Access to the Customer Panel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. Enter a password<\/strong> for the email and re-enter into the confirm password<\/strong> field or select Generate<\/strong> to automatically generate a password for the address.<\/li>\n
  7. You can select to apply the default mailbox size or select Another size<\/strong> to set a disk space quota for the mailbox.<\/li>\n
  8. Optional:<\/i> You can enter a description for the email address into the Description in Plesk <\/strong>field, or you can leave this field blank.<\/li>\n
  9. Click OK<\/strong> at the bottom of the page to create the address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Service Provider interface<\/h3>\n

    Follow these steps to create a new email address in Plesk with the Service-provider interface:<\/p>\n

    1. Open the domains<\/strong> menu from the left column of the Plesk panel.<\/li>\n
    2. Click the domain name that you want to create an email address for from the list on the following page.<\/li>\n
    3. Click the Mail<\/strong> or Email Addresses<\/strong> link from the domain control panel page.<\/li>\n
    4. Click the Create email address<\/strong> button to add a new address.<\/li>\n
    5. Enter the local part of the address (before the @ symbol) alongside the Email Address<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
    6. Enter a password<\/strong> for the email and re-enter into the confirm password<\/strong> field or select Generate to automatically generate<\/strong> a password for the address.<\/li>\n

      The following settings can be used to add the address to an email client application\/device:<\/p>\n

      Account type:<\/strong> POP or IMAP<\/br>Incoming server:<\/strong> mail.yourdomain.com<\/br>Username:<\/strong> full email address<\/br>Password:<\/strong> Enter the mailbox password for the address<\/br>Incoming Port:<\/strong> 110 for POP accounts, 143 for IMAP accounts.<\/br>Outgoing server:<\/strong> mail.yourdomain.com<\/br>Authentication:<\/strong> Authentication is required for outgoing mail, using the same username\/password as incoming settings.<\/br>Outgoing Port:<\/strong> 25<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
