It\u2019s\u00a0great to be able to access your email while out and about. This guide will show you how to set up your email account in Outlook on your mobile device. For customers using LCN\u202fWeb hosting<\/a>,\u202fWordPress hosting<\/a>,\u202fEmail hosting<\/a>\u202for a free mailbox.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you get started,\u00a0you\u2019ll\u00a0need to have your email address and password handy. If you can\u2019t remember these details, you can check and reset them from\u00a0your\u00a0LCN account<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also need to ensure you have Authenticated SMTP enabled. You can find out how to do this\u00a0here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fThis guide was made using an Android device. Steps may differ on other devices. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open your\u202fOutlook<\/strong>\u202fapplication on your mobile device <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Press the 3 lines in the left-hand corner then the envelope with a plus symbol or press the cog in the bottom left then press\u202fADD ACCOUNT<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n
      1. Enter your\u202fEmail address<\/strong>\u202fand press\u202fCONTINUE<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
        1. When it appears press\u202fSET UP YOUR ACCOUNT MANUALLY.<\/strong> <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
          1. Select\u202fIMAP<\/strong>\u202ffrom the selection. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
            1. Feel free to fill in your\u202fDisplay name<\/strong>\u202fand a\u202fDescription<\/strong>\u202fthen select\u202fADVANCED SETTINGS<\/strong>\u202fat the bottom. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
              1. Change your\u202fIMAP Host Name<\/strong>\u202fto\u202fmail.lcn.com:993<\/strong>\u202fand fill in your\u202fIMAP Username<\/strong>\u202fand\u202fIMAP Password.<\/strong>\u202f (Your username will be your email address.)<\/em>\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
                1. Fill in your\u202fSMTP Host Name<\/strong>\u202fto\u202fmail.lcn.com:25<\/strong>\u202for\u202fmail.lcn.com:465\u202f<\/strong>and fill in your\u202fSMTP Username<\/strong>\u202fand\u202fSMTP Password.<\/strong>\u202f <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
                  1. Press the tick in the top right-hand corner. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fDepending on your internet service provider, the default port of 25 or 465 should allow you to send email. If you find that you are having problems sending email, the first step would be to change the port to 26 or 587. To do this you will need to delete your email account from\u202fOutlook<\/strong>, and then re-add the email changing\u202f25<\/strong>\u202fto\u202f26<\/strong>\u202for\u202f587<\/strong>\u202fwhen adding the outgoing server. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
