When clicking on the Format icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/615\/inline\/original\/1506085177\/Instantsiteformat.png\"> a drop down menu will appear containing the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Normal text<\/li><li>Quote<\/li><li>Code<\/li><li>Heading1<\/li><li>Heading2<\/li><li>Heading3<\/li><li>Heading4<\/li><li>Heading5<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These work just like the formatting options in popular text editors such as Microsoft Word. The <strong>format<\/strong> option allows you to quickly and easily manage the way your websites headers, titles and text appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bold\">Bold<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bold test is often used to emphasise a word in a sentence You get this by hovering over the text you want to make bold and click the <strong>Bold<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/611\/inline\/original\/1506085150\/Instantsitebold.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"italics\">Italics<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Italics are used to more subtly emphasise words in a sentence. To make your text appear in italics, hover over the text and click the <strong>Italics<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/617\/inline\/original\/1506085191\/Instantsiteitalic.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"underline\">Underline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>underline<\/strong> option in the text editor allows you to underline your text elements. Hover over the text you want to underline and click the Underline icon to achieve the effect. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/623\/inline\/original\/1506085237\/Instantsiteunderline.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"align\">Align<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Align<\/strong> option is used to align text. Text can be aligned Left, Right, Centre or Justify. Hover over the text you want to align and click the Align icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/610\/inline\/original\/1506085144\/Instantsitealign.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"link\">Link<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Links or hyperlinks<\/strong> are used to link to other relevant pages on your website, or to link to another website. The <strong>Link<\/strong> option is used to add a link to a word or sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Add an External link:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Select the text you would like to link.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Link<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/619\/inline\/original\/1506085205\/Instantsitelink.png\"><\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong> link.<\/li><li>To add a link to an external site, click <strong>External<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Enter the <strong>URL<\/strong> of the page you would like the link to link to.<\/li><li>Tick if you want to <strong>Open link in new tab<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Add an Internal link:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Select the text you would like to link.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Link<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/619\/inline\/original\/1506085205\/Instantsitelink.png\"><\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong> link.<\/li><li>To add a link to an external site, click <strong>Internal<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select the page you would like to link to from the <strong>Page<\/strong> drop down.<\/li><li>Tick if you want to <strong>Open link in new tab<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Add a Document link:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Click the <strong>Link<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/619\/inline\/original\/1506085205\/Instantsitelink.png\"><\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong> link.<\/li><li>To add a link to a document link, click <strong>Document<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Enter the text that you want to be displayed for your document link into the <strong>Text<\/strong> field.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Select File<\/strong><\/li><li>Select an existing document from the document library, or select <strong>Upload Document<\/strong> to upload a file from your computer to the document library. Then click <strong>Confirm<\/strong> after selecting the document that you want to link to.<\/li><li>Click <strong>Insert<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"font\">Font Size<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Font Size<\/strong> option is used to change font sizes of different text elements. Simply click the <strong>Font Size<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/614\/inline\/original\/1506085172\/Instantsitefontsize.png\"> and select the font size you\u2019d like from the drop down menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fontfamily\">Font Family<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Font Family<\/strong> option is used to change your font type. Simply click the <strong>Font Family<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/613\/inline\/original\/1506085165\/Instantsitefontfamily.png\"> and select the font of your choice from the drop down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"fontcolour\">Font Colour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Changing the colour of your InstantSite font couldn&#8217;t be easier! Simply select the text you want to change, click the <strong>Font Colour<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/612\/inline\/original\/1506085157\/Instantsitefontcolour.png\"> and select the colour you\u2019d like to use. Always make sure your selected font colour is easily distinguished from your site background colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"lines\">Lines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A line is a great tool to separate a body of text and make your web page more readable. The <strong>line<\/strong> option in InstantSite allows you to add a horizontal line across the entire text element. To add a line, simply place the cursor just before where you\u2019d like the line and click the <strong>Line<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/618\/inline\/original\/1506085196\/Instantsitelines.png\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"lists\">Lists<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether listing products or services, making a step by step guide or organisation your content, a list can be a useful addition to your site. InstantSite provides two types of lists;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ordered lists<br>Unordered lists<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ordered List:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>By default ordered lists will be shown in numeric categories, for example: 1, 2, 3,. Adding an ordered list to InstantSite is simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Hover over the text you would like to turn into a list.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Lists<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/620\/inline\/original\/1506085213\/Instantsitelists.png\"><\/li><li>Select <strong>Ordered List<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: The text will automatically be added to a list that breaks to a new number on each new line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>If you would like to <strong>Indent<\/strong> or <strong>Outdent<\/strong> your list, simply click the <strong>Lists<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/620\/inline\/original\/1506085213\/Instantsitelists.png\"> and select either <strong>Outdent<\/strong> or <strong>Indent<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unordered List:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, unordered lists will be shown with bullet points. Adding an unordered list to InstantSite is simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Hover over the text you would like to list.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Lists<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/620\/inline\/original\/1506085213\/Instantsitelists.png\"><\/li><li>Select <strong>Unordered List<\/strong>.<\/li><li>If you would like to <strong>Indent<\/strong> or <strong>Outdent<\/strong> your list, simply click the Lists icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/620\/inline\/original\/1506085213\/Instantsitelists.png\"> and select either <strong>Outdent<\/strong> or <strong>Indent<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tables\">Tables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a <strong>Table<\/strong> to your InstantSite, simply click where you would like your table, click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/622\/inline\/original\/1506085229\/Instantsitetable.png\"> and select <strong>Insert table<\/strong>. By default, a table with 3 columns and 2 rows will be added. Columns, rows, and header rows can all be added and removed from your table by following the instructions below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding and removing rows<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new row to your table:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Click on your table<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon<\/li><li>Select <strong>Insert row above<\/strong> or <strong>Insert row below<\/strong>, depending on where you want your new row.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To remove a row from your table:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Click on the row you\u2019d like to remove from your table<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/622\/inline\/original\/1506085229\/Instantsitetable.png\"><\/li><li>Select <strong>Delete row<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding and removing columns<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new column to your table:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Click on your table<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/622\/inline\/original\/1506085229\/Instantsitetable.png\"><\/li><li>Select <strong>Insert column left<\/strong> or <strong>Insert column right<\/strong>, depending on where you want your new row.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To remove a column from your table:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"step_by_step wp-block-list\"><li>Click on the column you\u2019d like to remove from your table<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"screenshot\" src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/622\/inline\/original\/1506085229\/Instantsitetable.png\"><\/li><li>Select <strong>Delete column<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding and removing header rows<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A header row is a title section for your table. By default, it will cover the entire width of your table and will be styled with a dark grey background.
