When registering a\u202fdomain name<\/a>, it\u2019s important to make sure that the registered ownership details are accurate and up to date. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide will show you how to update the ownership details for your domain through your LCN account<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click on the domain you wish to update. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. Under the title Domain Registrant Details<\/strong> click\u202fthe pink Edit<\/strong> button. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. A form will appear which will currently be populated by your current owner details. Update these details accordingly as you need. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Please Note: <\/strong>Make sure to read through the information provided above the form before you make your change. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

          1. Once you are happy with your changes click Save<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            1. Allow up to 24 hours for these changes to update in the public WHOIS database.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Change of ownership for a gTLD <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              For all generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs), there is an additional verification step to prove ownership of the domain name. This means that whenever an LCN customer changes the registrant name, organisation, or email address for one of their domain names, we must send emails to both the old and new registrant confirming the new details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              If you are unable to access the original email get in touch<\/a> with our support team who can help you update your details along with our Domain Admin team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Please Note: <\/strong>Changing the ownership details of a gTLD will lock your domain for 60-days and it will not be able to be transferred during this time. If you are updating your detail in preparation of a transfer it is best to complete the update with your new registrar. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
