This guide will show you how to update your email password for customers using LCN\u202fWeb hosting<\/a>,\u202fWordPress hosting<\/a>,\u202fEmail hosting<\/a>\u202for\u00a0LiteMail.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a strong password is very important.\u202fThis guide<\/a>\u202fwill help you pick a password\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0both secure and easy to remember.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update your email password\u00a0from your LCN\u00a0Account\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a>\u00a0and head to your\u00a0Control Panel<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Click\u202fon the domain you wish to perform a password reset for. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. Click\u202fEmail Settings<\/strong>, followed by Users and Rules<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        1. Chose the mailbox you wish to update, and you will now be able to view and update your login settings. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          1. To update your password, enter a new password in the Password <\/strong>box. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            1. Repeat your password in the Confirm password <\/strong>box. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Please Note:<\/strong>\u202fTo make sure your chosen password is secure you will need to make sure that it is at least 8 characters long, it must also include at least 3 of the following: Lower case letter, upper case letter, number, special character.               1. After you are happy with your changed click\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0at the bottom.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Please Note: <\/strong>Changing your password for your mailbox will update the passwords for all email addresses using this mailbox. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

                That\u2019s\u00a0it! You have now updated\u00a0you\u00a0mailbox password from your LCN account.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Please Note:\u00a0<\/strong>If you have provided FTP access to a user the FTP password used\u00a0for FTP access\u00a0will also be changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

                Changing your SMTP password\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                If you have an authenticated SMTP for your mailbox this can be reset separately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Please Note<\/strong>: Your authenticated SMTP will use your mailbox password as default and will unlikely need changing. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

                To do this you will… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. Log in to\u202fyour LCN account<\/a> and head to your Control Panel<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                  1. Click\u202fon the domain you wish to perform a password reset for. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                    1. Click\u202fEmail Settings<\/strong>, followed by Authenticated SMTP<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                      1. Enter a New password <\/strong>in the first box. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                        1. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password<\/strong> box. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                          Change your password in Webmail <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                          1. Log in to\u202fyour webmail<\/a>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                            1. Click\u202fSettings<\/strong>. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                              1. Click\u202fPassword<\/strong>\u202funder the\u202fSettings<\/strong>\u202ftab. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                1. In the\u202fCurrent Password<\/strong>\u202ffield, enter your current mailbox password. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                                  1. In the\u202fNew Password<\/strong>\u202ffield, enter your new password.  <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                                    1. Enter the same password again in the\u202fConfirm New Password<\/strong>\u202ffield. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
