You can find out how to do this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lcn.com\/support\/articles\/how-to-activate-authenticated-smtp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s&nbsp;get started\u2026&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open Mozilla Thunderbird.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li>Click\u202f<strong>Create a new account<\/strong>\u202ffrom the main screen.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\"><li>You should now see a new menu pop up entitled\u202f<strong>Mail Account Setup<\/strong>. You will be prompted to enter a\u202f<strong>Display Name<\/strong>, an\u202f<strong>Email&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Address<\/strong>\u202fand a\u202f<strong>Password<\/strong>. These details will be for the domain email address you intend to use with Mozilla Thunderbird. Click\u202f<strong>Continue<\/strong>\u202fwhen you have finished entering your details.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\"><li>As Thunderbird uses an auto-configure system for your email, your domain email settings should be pulled directly from the LCN.com server and auto-populate the remaining email server settings. If you entered&nbsp;all of&nbsp;your domain email details correctly, you should see a screen&nbsp;similar to&nbsp;this:&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li>Simply click\u202f<strong>Done<\/strong>\u202fand your mailbox will finish setting up.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<video autoplay=\"autoplay\" loop=\"loop\" muted=\"\" controls=\"controls\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\"><source src=\"\/support\/articles\/attachment\/805\/inline\/original\/1565709733\/ThunderbirdAuto.mp4\">Your browser does not support the video tag.<\/video>\n\n\n\n<p>If you see a message which states\u202f<strong>Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account<\/strong>, please follow the next step below.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\"><li>You now need to\u202f<strong>Manually<\/strong>\u202fset up the server details in order to create a connection from Thunderbird to our mail servers. Please use the following:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select\u202f<strong>IMAP<\/strong>\u202ffor the incoming server type.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Enter\u202f<strong>mail.lcn.com<\/strong>\u202ffor the Incoming server hostname.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Choose Port 143 and select\u202f<strong>STARTTLS<\/strong>\u202for\u202f<strong>None<\/strong>\u202ffor the SSL type.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Select\u202f<strong>Normal password<\/strong>\u202ffor the Authentication.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>SMTP<\/strong>\u202fshould be selected for the outgoing server type.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Enter\u202f<strong>mail.lcn.com<\/strong>\u202fin to&nbsp;the Server hostname for the outgoing mail.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Choose\u202f<strong>Port 25<\/strong>\u202fand select None for the SSL type.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Select\u202f<strong>Normal password<\/strong>\u202ffor the Authentication.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, enter your\u202f<strong>full e-mail address<\/strong>\u202fin the Username text box.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\"><li>Select\u202f<strong>Re-Test<\/strong>\u202fto check the settings.
