It may seem like an obvious question, but it\u2019s a good one.<\/p>\n<p>In the most basic terms, a post is a blog entry and a page is just a static webpage. What else sets them apart from each other? <\/p>\n<h3>WordPress posts<\/h3>\n<p>A WordPress post will usually have the following features\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A date stamp, showing the date the post was published<\/li>\n<li>An author<\/li>\n<li>A comments area for visitors to discuss the post<\/li>\n<li>Posts are listed on the blog home page with the newest post first<\/li>\n<li>A section for tags and categories \u2013 we\u2019ll go into this in more detail later on<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Pages<\/h3>\n<p>On the other hand, a WordPress page is usually static and used to display one-off content that doesn\u2019t require constant updating.
