This guide will explain how to set up Google Analytics on your WordPress website for customers using LCN.com web hosting<\/a> and WordPress hosting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before you start, you\u2019ll need to set up a Google Analytics account. You can learn about this and how to get started with Google Analytics here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get started\u2026<\/p>\n

Installing the plugin<\/h3>\n

  1. Login to your WordPress dashboard. You can do this by navigating to http:\/\/www.yourdomain.com\/wp-login.php<\/li>\n
  2. Hover over Plugins<\/strong> on the left had side and click Add New<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Use the search bar in the top right had side to find Google Analytics by MonsterInsights<\/a> <\/li>\n
  4. Click Install Now<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Once installed you\u2019ll need to turn the plugin on. Do this by clicking Activate Plugin<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Connecting to Google Analytics<\/h3>\n

    Once active, you\u2019ll need to link the plugin to your Google Analytics account.<\/p>\n

    You can do this by clicking Settings<\/strong> from the screen displayed immediately after the plugin is activated.<\/p>\n

    Alternatively, you can go to Plugins, Installed Plugins<\/strong> and click Settings<\/strong> under the Google Analytics by MonsterInsights<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n

    1. From the General<\/strong> tab click Authenticate with your Google account.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. A box will appear for you to login to your Google account <\/li>\n
    3. Click Allow<\/strong> to give MonsterInsights permission to view your Google Analytics data <\/li>\n
    4. Next an authentication code will be displayed. Copy this and paste it in to the Paste your Google code here<\/strong> field <\/li>\n
    5. Click Save authentication code<\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. Select your Analytics profile<\/strong> from the drop down<\/li>\n
    7. Click save changes<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Now this is set up, you\u2019ll be able to view your analytics by hovering over Insights<\/strong> on the left hand side of the WordPress dashboard and clicking Dashboard.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
