LCN - Email login issues - [28/03/2019]

Customers still having issues logging in to their email accounts are advised to reset your email password. To do this, please follow the steps below:

  • Login in to your LCN account here: https://www.lcn.com/login
  • Click 'Email Addresses'
  • Click 'Settings' next to the email address in question
  • Scroll down the page to the 'Update Password' section and change your password

Once your password has been updated, this new password will need to be updated on any other devices you use to connect to your email account i.e. Outlook, Mac Mail or any mobile devices.

Our Support team are currently handling a large number of calls and chats off the back of this so please follow the above as a first resort.

Our Engineering team have identified and resolved the issue leaving some customers unable to login to their email accounts.

This appears to have been linked to a change we made re-encrypt customer email passwords, to make them more secure. We've since reverted part of this work and will be investigating further ways of completing this work without impacting email users.

Any customers still having issues logging in would need to reset their email account password via their LCN.com account. Once done, you'll be able to login as normal.

We continuing our investigations into the cause of issues stopping some customers from logging into their email accounts.

This appears to be related to some ongoing security work we're doing to further improve the security of customer's email passwords, however we're still looking into the specific cause and a fix for this.
