How to transfer your domain to LCN.com
This guide will walk you through how to transfer domain names into LCN
The domain name transfer process allows you to move a web name ie. yourdomain.com from your current registrar (the company you orginally purchased the domain name with) into LCN. This allows you to manage the domain name via our comprehensive control panel aswell as taking advantage of our great free features.
.gTLD domain names (.com, .net, .org, .info, .eu)
- Visit the domain transfers page.
- Search for a .com, .net, .org, .info, .eu domain name that you own and would like to transfer to us.
- If the domain is locked you will be asked to unlock it from it's existing registrar. You can do this by contacting them.
- If the domain name is not locked you will be prompted for an authcode. Once entered the domain will then appear in your basket.
- If you aren't already you will be asked to login to the LCN.com website.
- Checkout.
- If successful the domain will now appear in your account.
.uk domain names (.co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk)
- Visit the domain name transfers page.
- Search for a .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk domain name that you would like to transfer to us.
- If you aren't already you will be asked to login to the LCN.com website.
- Confirm inbound transfer of nominet domain
- You will be asked to change the domain names IPS tag to 'LCN', you can do this by contacting your current registrar.
- You can now choose to add hosting to the domain or goto your account.
- The domain will now appear in your account pending transfer, until transfer completes, at which point it becomes active.
