How to buy a domain name with LCN.com

First you must check to see if the domain name you want to purchase is available. Enter the name you wish to register into the field at the top of the page and click 'Search'.

The results page will display the name with 9 different extensions (.co.uk, .com, .eu etc.) and which ones are available. You can choose to add as many of the available domain names to your shopping basket by selecting their checkbox.

Once you have selected the domain name(s) you wish to register click the 'Add to basket' button.

You will now be presented with the option of adding a hosting package to your domain, If you would like hosting simply click 'Buy' on the package you would like to purchase. If you do not require any hosting you can click the 'proceed to next step' link towards the top of the page.

You now have the option to either carry on shopping or to checkout. When you are ready click the 'Checkout' button.

You are now presented with the first phase of the checkout. If you are an existing customer you will be asked for a user name and password, if you are a new customer you will be required to register.

New Customer

You must fill out the form presented with your details. This is designed to make the registration process quicker and easier as these details by default will be displayed as the owner details in phase 2 and the billing details in phase 3.

Once completed click the 'Create Account' button.

Finding your way around

From this point onwards you can keep track of what stage of the checkout process you are on by looking at the 'checkout stage' guide towards the top of the screen.

The stage you are on is highlighted. In this example the customer is on the 'Payment Details' stage.

New Customer cont. & Existing Customer

Phase 1: Confirm Basket - You will now be asked to confirm your purchase and contact details. Click Confirm or Continue accordingly.

Phase 2: Domain registration Contacts - By default this will be the information you entered when you signed up for your account.

Phase 3: Billing Contact - Gives you the option to change the billing contact for the domain. Once your are happy with the details click 'Continue'.

Phase 4: Payment Details - You are now taken to a secure window using Thawte 128bit SSL encryption which has a form for your payment information. Once you have entered your credit/debit card information click the 'continue' at the bottom of the page.

Once your card details have been correctly entered you will be taken to the Confirm purchase screen.

Phase 5: Confirm Purchase - Here you will be asked to accept our terms & conditions and confirm your purchase. To complete your order click the 'Confirm Purchase' button.

You have now completed the domain registration process. You will see the following screen and and will receive a receipt and aknowledgement email to the address you supplied.
