The following instructions are for setting up your e-mail account using MacMail the default email client shipped with OSX.

To configure your email account using MacMail follow the steps below:

  1. Open MacMail

  2. Click the Mail tab and choose Preferences

  3. Fill in your name, email address, pop.lcn.com as the incoming mail server, your username (your email address again), and POP as the mail type. Enter post.lcn.com into the outgoing mailserver field.

  4. After clicking OK, you will see the following window asking you if you would like to import mailboxes.

  5. The Accounts window will now appear. Click the Edit button.

  6. The following window will be display.

  7. Now click the Server Settings button
  8. Ensure that the outgoing mail server is set to post.lcn.com and that your username(email address) and password are filled in.

  9. Now click OK to save your options. In the Mailbox menu in Mail, click the Go Online option. You will be asked for your password and then you are ready to read your mail.
