How to stop spam email
All of our hosting packages come with at least 1 spam protected mailbox. This is particularly helpful if there are individuals and websites you always want to receive email from, or permanently block from ever contacting you.
You can enable spam protection easily from your account.
Once Mailguard is set up on an email address you will see a View Spam Trap link next to that address, this will take you to the Mailguard login page.
If you have purchased our Mailguard pro service you will have the added functionality to specify particular email addresses or domain names you wish to permanently Whitelist (to always receive email from) or Blacklist (to never receive email from)
Adding an email address to your blacklist will not guarantee that you never receive junk email from that sender again. Blocking certain domain names can be far more efficient.
If you would like to build up your own rules based on the type of email content you receive, go in to the Custom Rules section. Here you can add certain words or content in to your spam score.
This is fairly advanced spam filtering, to be sure that you don’t end up black listing genuine email, or your own for that matter, always set the spam score for each word to the same figure as the Mail Threshold you set up with your LCN account.
