How to set up your email account in Mac Mail

Mac Mail is the default email program on all Macs, this guide shows you how to get your Mac set up with your LCN email account. Please make sure you know your full LCN email address and the password for that email address before you begin.

  1. Open Mac Mail - if the Welcome to Mail screen doesn't appear, click Add Account under the File menu at the top left of the screen
  2. You'll then need to enter your full name, email address and password. Click Continue
  3. You should then see the Incoming Mail Server screen. Enter a description for this email account, enter pop.lcn.com in the Incoming Mail Server text box, your full email address in the User Name text box and your email account's password in the Password text box. Then click Continue
  4. You should then see the Outgoing Mail Server screen. Enter a description for this server (eg "LCN Outgoing Mail"), enter post.lcn.com into the Outgoing Mail Server text box, check the "Use Authentication" box, and enter your full email address and password. Then click Continue
  5. The final step is the Account Summary screen. Check the details and click Continue. Your email accounts should now be set up and ready to go!
