How do we work out the hosting upgrade fee?

To make sure you always get great value for money we calculate the upgrade fee by
linking it to how much usage you will get before the end of you current contract.

Time for some maths:

c = d*((t-m)/t)

c = cost, d = difference in cost t = term of product (12 months), m = number of months elapsed

Example:

I am a customer looking to upgrade my 'starter hosting' to a 'dynamic hosting' package.
I ordered my hosting package 6 months ago, now I want a package with a Database and some scripting.

My total upgrade cost is worked out as follows:

The difference in cost between the packages (£20)

Multiplied by the number of months left on your contract (e.g. 6 months) divided by the term of your contract (e.g. 12 months)

So the upgrate cost would be:

£20 x ( 6 ÷ 12 )

The final cost of my upgrade would be £10
