eShop Packages Update

In a previous post I mentioned that our new eShop packages would be launching 2 weeks ago, so please accept my apologies as we didn’t manage to hit this target.

We were pretty much ready to launch the product on time, but hit some last minute snags. Our company mission statement is “To create the finest internet solutions backed by unparalleled customer support”, so in order to stick to this mission and provide the finest internet solutions, we must not rush products to market if we are not confident that they are completely ready and fully tested.

The good news is we are now very close to launching the product after ironing out the issues we were experiencing.  We are now ready to complete our last round of testing next week and are hoping for a launch over the weekend of 27th/28th of February.

My Account – Facelift

Over the coming weeks we have set aside some time for our web designers to work on improving the look and feel of the LCN My Account section. In addition our developers will be building in new features to make it even easier for our customers to manage the services we provide.

We generally get very positive feedback on our My Account section, but before we begin looking at new features and design, I would like to hear customers feedback on what features and design elements you would like to see.

A few of our ideas include:

• Introduction of a simplified dashboard once you login which lists items such as upcoming domain/hosting renewals and important announcements.
• Adding more functionality for managing large domain portfolios e.g. bulk nameservers changes
• Adding a preferences section, where you can set default preferences for things such as nameservers, auto-renew settings and checkout flow options.
• Simplify the navigation and reduce the amount of options provided.

Sport Relief…we’re running!

As mentioned on our blog earlier this week a few of the LCN staff will be running for Sport Relief. I would have been running, but I have made my excuses as I have picked up an injury playing for the LCN 6-a-side football team.
