Transferring your domain to LCN

There are many good reasons why you may choose to move your domain to LCN.

• Cheaper domain renewals

• Easy to use account management

• No cost to transfer away (many other registrars will choose to charge you)

There are some costs involved in transferring domains to us, the pricing is as follows:

For all .uk domains the transfer is FREE

Top Level Domains such as .com .net .org .biz .info have a £5 charge, which includes 1 additional year on to expiry date.

Other Top Level Domains such as .mobi .me have a £10 charge, which will also add 1 additional year on to expiry date.

.EU domains have a £5 charge, which includes a new 12 month term is initiated from the date that the transfer is executed.

Transferring Top Level Domains

Top level domains include (.com .net .biz .info .org .me .mobi)

1. Ask the existing registrar to unlock the domain and provide you with the authorisation code

2. Create or log into your existing LCN account here https://www.lcn.com/account

3. Navigate back to the LCN.com homepage and click on the “Transfer domains to us” or follow the link https://www.lcn.com/transfers

4. Enter your domain into the Domain name field in the centre then click Go.

5. Enter your authorisation code in the field on the next screen and click to proceed.

6. This will then take you to the checkout

7. Once completed, we will then email the admin contact on the domain to confirm authorisation to transfer the domain. Please click on the link in the email to initiate the transfer.

8. Once this has been done, the transfer will be initiated and can take up to 10 days to be active within your account.

Transferring a .uk domain.

1. Create or log into your existing LCN account here https://www.lcn.com/account

2. Navigate back to the LCN.com homepage and click on the “Transfer domains to us” or follow the link https://www.lcn.com/transfers

3. Enter your domain into the Domain name field in the centre then click Go

4. Make sure you check the box “I agree to the LCN.COM Terms and Conditions” then click confirm.

5. Contact the existing registrar and request for the IPS tag to be changed to LCN (note the capital letters)

6. Please allow up to 72 hours for this tag to change. Once it has it will become active within your account

Transferring a .eu domain

1. Create or log into your existing LCN account here https://www.lcn.com/account

2. Navigate back to the LCN.com homepage and click on the “Transfer domains to us” or follow the link https://www.lcn.com/transfers

3. Enter your domain into the Domain name field in the centre then click Go.

4. We will then contact Eurid (the governing body of .eu domains) and request the transfer. They will in turn email you asking for the authorisation for the domain transfer.

5. Please accept this transfer and we will be able to process the request.
