LCN’s Sport Relief Run

We made it!

Many thanks to all who supported our efforts with the 3 mile run in aid of sport relief. As a result we managed to not only achieve our team goal but make the goal look very meagre with our total of ‘£202′.

We arrived at Milton Keynes all ready and focused at 10:30am ready for the warm up and to see the ongoing activities. We were immediately surrounded by the swarm of costumes and runners also participating including a full panda outfit and even Santa himself. We started our run at 11:30am set off by Gemma Atkinson which gave us all the sprint start to the first corner. By the end of the first mile we were all starting to feel the aches and pains of the ’1 long lap down, 2 long laps to go’ mentality. We all made it around the full 3 laps which was an amazing achievement in itself, but more so was the times which we were all very happy with with the last of us coming home in around 34 minutes.

All in it was a very successful day and we are even more pleased with the help that we could give with our efforts. So thank you all again for your contributions and looking forward to next year.
