MD Weekly Blog – Our 10th birthday celebrations

On Tuesday LCN.com turned 10 years old!

Doesn’t time fly, it only seems like yesterday that we launched LowCostNames.co.uk and started offering low cost domain registration services. I never imagined when we first started that we would become one of the largest domain and web hosting companies in the UK. I was always confident that we would be successful, but I didn’t expect we would grow to where we are now and also have a 12,000sq ft premises with our own 4,000sq ft data centre onsite (see www.ai-datacentre.co.uk).

On the morning of our birthday a few of us snuck in early and decorated the office with huge ballons, ribbons and bunting. We also put on a finger buffet for all staff and had prize draws throughout the day and of course there was still some time left for a glass of champagne or two!

With LCN’s corporate colours being pink, it certainly looked a bit strange to any visitors when they came up and saw huge pink 10^th birthday balloons and decorations…it looked more like a 10 year old girls birthday, than ours! Which we were given a bit of stick about!

Although it was a fun day, it was also a very busy day as we ran a 10p web hosting offer to celebrate our birthday with our customers.  As you can probably imagine this offer was very well received.

We certainly want to be around to celebrate our next 10 years and we are as motivated as ever to keep improving our products and service. We have some big product announcements this year which will provide our customers with many benefits to ensure you have all the tools available to make your website a success.

I finally want to say a big thank you to all of our staff and customers for helping us achieve this milestone, as we couldn’t have got to where we are today without your tremendous support.
