Mailguard – The First Line of Defence

a computer  receiving a lot of spamLet’s face it no one likes to receive spam; therefore we aim to combat this with our Mailguard Lite, and Pro service. Mailguard is built on industry leading technologies to help catch 99.9% of spam and potential viruses which may be sent via email. We understand that sometimes business critical emails may be classed as “spam” therefore we provide a web based spam management system providing you with full control to adjust the simplistic yet effective scoring system.

In order to enable, and ultimately benefit from Mailguard simply login to your LCN.com control panel, select the domain name from the account, then from the left hand menu the Mailbox Management section would enable to you toggle Mailguard on or off. Furthermore the Mailbox Management page would also enable for the threshold of the scoring system to be adjusted depending on how tolerant you would like the filtering to be.  Once Mailguard has been enabled any emails within quarantine can be seen, and or released by logging into the dedicated control panel here: http://mailguard.lcn.com/

For advanced filtering Mailguard Pro would also permit for spammers to be added to a blacklist, likewise safe senders can be added to a white list. For information on Mailguard Lite and Pro please refer to our guide here: http://www.lcn.com/mailguard
