Website Changes and New Developments

As Nick has already mentioned on his blog post earlier this week (http://www.lcn.com/blog/2009/11/new-home-page-design), we released a new look home page. We hope you find these changes beneficial and would love to hear your feedback as always.

There is little to report this week on other new developments, as our development team is hard at work building our new hosting platform. For the past couple of weeks they have been developing various elements of this platform, but one of the main focuses recently has been around email. Our new hosting platform will have a brand new email architecture, which has been designed to provide even more scalability and performance. It will also allow us to offer IMAP accounts for the first time, which we have been asked for by our customers on many occasions.

Feature requests

I know I am always harping on about receiving your feedback, but we genuinely want to hear from our customers. We really value your opinions and our aim is take on board as much of this feedback as possible.

This week I would like to ask “What products, services, features or partnerships would you like to see LCN offer in the future?”

We always work extremely hard to offer value to our customers, with one of our main objectives being to provide feature rich and high quality products at a cost effective price. We also try to bring on relevant partnerships for our customers e.g. offering you free advertising vouchers from the likes of Google, free web design software, free email marketing credits and free photos for your website.

Many of the products we develop, features we add and partnerships we create are chosen because of research we have done which leads us to believe you will find them of benefit. However, I am keen to understand more of our customers’ needs, so please send me any feature requests to MD@LCN.com.

Video Guides and our Competition

This week we added a new page to the LCN website for displaying useful video guides on how to use our website and products. To start with we have added 4 video guides, but we plan to add many more on a regular basis.

In conjunction with launching our video guides page we are also running a competition for to win a Flip HD camcorder. All you have to do is send us your ideas for potential new video guides and you will automatically be entered into the competition. The Economy

Yesterday on the BBC there was a nice positive article regarding the economy (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8367983.stm).

It makes a change for some positive news and hopefully the OECD are correct with their prediction of growth next year across the world’s major economies.
