Data Centre Update

Our data centre build is now well underway, with all building work now complete.

Currently we have a contractor installing 10Gb cabling under the floor to every single cabinet, as well as our environmental monitoring cabling. The environmental monitoring will keep track of each cabinet’s temperature, humidity and power usages. In addition it will also monitor the performance and loads on the UPS, air conditioning systems and back-up generator.

Next week, we will have electrical engineers on site to install the data centre lighting and power cabling to each cabinet. As well as EDF energy who will be installing the external power substation to provide us with 1mVA of power to the building.

The build is coming together very quickly now, so we will aim to update you regularly on progress over the coming weeks.
