LCN have created a new site for .eu domains - Euro-Reg.com.

April 7th is the start of open registrations for the .eu top level domain (TLD). This means that any individual, organisation or company within the EU will be able to register a domain name with the .eu extension.

Why should I register a .eu domain?

With the launch of .eu a fresh opportunity exists for registrants to secure highly desirable names, so it is important you register your own identity at the earliest opportunity. In the early Internet years when .com was the first TLD to explode onto the Net, many speculative domain buyers bought many of the top .com domains and in the following years made vast amounts of money selling them on or using them for their own ventures. Make sure you don't miss out this time around!!!

How popular will the .eu domain be?

There has been much speculation as to how popular the .eu TLD will be, but judging from initial figures for registrations during the sunrise registration periods, the call for registering .eu domain names will be huge. There are over 450 million people within the EU, which more than half are regular internet users. This gives you some idea of the potential demand for good .eu domain names. In the UK alone there are around 5 million .uk domains registered and the majority of businesses and organisations are expected to secure their .eu equivalent. This doesn't even include the rest of EU which will also be registering their identity within the .eu namespace.

How do I register a .eu domain name?

Due to the huge demand expected, we have designed a website purely dedicated to selling .eu domain names. We have tried to make the process as simple as possible, so it only takes a matter of minutes to secure your new .eu identity. To celebrate this exciting landmark, we are offering an introductory 50% OFF ALL .EU DOMAINS, so registration is ONLY £8.75!

Visit www.Euro-Reg.com on April 7th to secure your .eu domain instantly!

What makes a good domain name?

Make your mark count! How user friendly, easy to remember is your domain name? If customers have found it once will they remember your name and be able to navigate back?

When registering a domain name you must ensure your name is something that is easy to remember so customers can find you when they need you. The easiest way to do this is use your company name in full. If you are known by numerous names then ensure they are all registered as domain names and pointing back to the main site to ensure you don't miss out on business.

Domain names can be a maximum of 67 characters. By using shorter options or initials you could be cutting out some of your customers who don't know these.

Hard to spell names - register all possibilities to ensure your customers get to your site.

Use your domain name at every opportunity. On the bottom of all emails, business cards, headed paper - mention it on every possible occasion. It's never too late to increase or change your options with our forwarding service you can make a seamless change. Register on line now www.lcn.com
